Thanksgiving Sides in Under 30 Minutes!

Thanksgiving Sides in Under 30 Minutes!

I’ll be honest, while I love a good Thanksgiving turkey, it’s always the sides that steal the show for me. I like to keep it simple (but delicious) so I still get to spend some time with friends and family rather than in the kitchen all day.  I wanted to share a few of my favorite super easy side ideas with you along with an easy recipe for my green bean and bacon casserole.

I love having freshly baked bread for Thanksgiving. Picking up pre-baked rolls from the bakery just doesn’t cut it for me around the holiday but I hate taking the time to make them from scratch. Finding Bridgford Parkerhouse Style Rolls Dough has been such a win for us. They only take a few minutes to bake but you do have to remember to take them out of the package to defrost and allow them to rise for 2-3 hours before baking them. They have no preservatives and are Non-GMO. They also make for the best turkey sliders with all the leftovers! You can find them in the freezer aisle and grab yourselves a coupon for them HERE

In our house we often get a little antsy waiting for dinner to be ready so we need to have some yummy snacks on hand while we wait. You can’t find a yummier or easier snack to set out than Tribe Dark Chocolate and Pumpkin Pie Hummus! They go great with pretzels, graham crackers and fruit or even as a topping on desserts. My kids can’t get enough! Don’t tell them, but I will let you in on my little secret… there is only 6 grams of sugar per serving! You can grab a $1 off coupon HERE.

My green bean and bacon casserole is always a show stopper when it comes to Thanksgiving sides. It’s ready in about 15 minutes and couldn’t be tastier. Here is the recipe:

I have to say that it’s really The Baconer Bacon that makes this recipe truly stand out. The Baconer Boxes are full of the #1 premium Artisan Bacon and the boxes come with hard to find cuts and chef-driven flavors. You really can’t beat the smokey flavor of their Smoked Lardons! You can use Code: KTBaconLover20 if you’d like to try a box for 20% off.

The other ingredient that really makes a huge difference in flavor for this recipe is the 4C parmesan cheese . I have been cooking with 4C for years and I have yet to find a better tasting parmesan. It’s nutty, delicious and adds so much flavor to any meal! Their breadcrumbs are also a long time favorite of mine as far as flavor and texture are concerned. They are a great base for recipes and add a delicious crunch to your meals!

While I do love to keep the sides simple it’s always fun to make a dessert that will really wow your guests. I have been paging through and dreaming about what recipe to make from the “I Cook in Color: Bright Flavors from My Kitchen and Around the World” book by Asha Gomez. It’s a visually stunning cookbook with an on-trend theme of diverse cuisine. There are so many dishes to choose from (indulging a few fantastic desert ideas!) and I can’t wait to try them out! You can check out the book HERE  if you’re looking for some inspiration to really wow your guests this year!
