How to Wear a Crop Top in Your 30's With Class.

How to Wear a Crop Top in Your 30's With Class.

There is a good chance you are thinking that the word’s “crop top” and “thirties” should not be in the same sentence. I get it. In many cases I would agree with you but just because you’re in your 30’s doesn’t mean you have to give up all the edgier fashion forward trends. Fashion is all about adapting a concept to work with how YOU express yourself. Here are a few suggestions to help you pull off that cropped shirt you have in your shopping cart but haven’t been feeling brave enough to buy.

1.       Keep the skin to a minimum- Find a shirt and skirt/pant combo that still leaves a lot to the imagination. There are so many great high wasted pants or skirts to choose from and in my opinion the shorter the gap the classier you will look. Just a little bit of skin can add a whole lot of edge to an outfit without needing to give up the class factor.

2. Keep it loose- If your top is more form fitting then opting for a loose/flowing skirt can soften up the look. If your high wasted skinny jeans are real curve huggers you may want to opt for a flowy crop top to offset the tighter fit.

3. Cover it up a bit- You can use overalls to cover a bit of skin or even as fall rolls in, throw a light jacket over your crop top. If your not feeling overly confident in wearing a shorter top then this can be a great way to test the waters.

4. Choose elegant accessories- If you have some extra skin showing, choosing an elegant pair of heels or a sleek clutch can go a long way to make the look feel softer and more refined. Beautifully styled accessories can add a major class factor to an otherwise slightly edgy outfit.

I would love to hear about all of the ways you style your crop top’s! Shoot me a message and let me know! Good luck and I know you can pull it off 😊.

Xo,

Kelly
